Franny: okay team, I need a final headcount before I start planning meal prepping

Franny: I will not have a repeat of the Great RSVP Catastrophe of 2017 so I need to cook enough for every person y'all invited to the big new year party this Saturday

Franny: anybody with the last name Xayavong, Thongmanivong, Sim, Chhay, Aktar, Aye, and Dantanavanawong are accounted for so don't count them

Franny: also if any of u non-cambodian folks plan on takin up my yearly invitation to get your metaphorical pass stamped to wear traditional cambodian dress for the party, let me know so I can help you do it right

#lady new years is in january #tomororw is day 1 of Cambodian New Year!!! well cambodian and other southeast asian cultures #bdrpopentext #bdrpopentexts #the surnames are all from cultures that also celebrate the new year in april #the ones franny listed are lao/lao/cambodian/cambodian/nepali/burmese/thai respectively #since choul chnam thmey/pi mai/songkran/etc isn't a national holiday in the West #many south/southeast asian abroad do their biiiig celebrations on that weekend #and sicne this year the 14-16th falls on a not weekend #franny's doing smol family stuff on the 14-16th #and the big party's happening saturday #come get accidentally grandfathered in to a party at the robinsons' mansion!#this was deff sent in the robinsons fam group chat but oops! all over town #someone day
